Arcosanti meets Neon factory meets Identity White Cube
Oh, yeah. One more thing. I sort of think that Ratio 3 in San Francisco is my American identity gallery. They were really killing it at NADA this year. Get yer click on if you like fresh contemporary art. I'd never even heard of it before. Big oversight. I'll have to swing by there pretty soon. Their NADA booth was repping the ultra poignant NEON color schema really hard. In particular, I wish I could have taken home a piece by Jonathan Runcio. His pieces of acrylic folded up like so many discarded manuscript pages and screenprinted with magickal colours made me want to live a little longer and a little harder and a little more. The Takeshi Murata video was basicallly breaking my mind with its sheer insane delightfulness. Ben Peterson was getting all Paolo Soleri chic on me and who don't love that wacky architectural dreamweaver/bastard? Also, people still make stripe paintings here in 2006 and . . . THEY STILL LOOOOOK GOOD! Killing it! Thanks Ratio 3 for being around. Also, I guess they rep Ryan McGinley, so I guess maybe I've really been sleeping on this gallery. I don't know. Have any of you actually been there? I guess it's on the corner of 21st and Guerrero in the Mission.Ratio 3: bringing vastness to the mind
